If you haven’t yet found Jesus to your heart and sin burdens
you, see on the page THE WAY TO
HEAVEN how you can pray a prayer where you turn away from your
wickedness towards Jesus, Who says (Luke 15:7): I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one
sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons,
which need no repentance.
Daily repentance is
essential to Believers in Jesus. When Jesus walked here on the earth He
called His followers to watch (Matthew 24:41–42): Two women shall be
grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch
therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. By watching Jesus means repentance, to convert to Him as soon as
there is any reason for it, because He can come at any moment. Or you
can suddenly die. Jesus says (Mark 13:33–37): Take ye heed, watch and pray: for
ye know not when the time is. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a
far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants,
and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye
therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at
even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I
say unto all, Watch. and
(Luke 21:34–36): And take heed
to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with
surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day
come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that
dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray
always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that
shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. In repentance, the Commands in the Bible are
an instruction for us, even if Jesus made us free to a wonderful
freedom not to sin. Let’s pray that Holy Spirit opens in the Bible to
us especially the teachings and God’s Commands that are important to
specifically us. Also let’s pray
that Holy Spirit displays to us the sin in our life so that the
connection to Father God that was built by Jesus will not be disturbed.
